Dermot O’Leary stepped in to present This Morning alongside Alison Hammond, dividing fans of the popular daytime TV show.
The X Factor host, 47, presented the programme today (Friday, August 21) with Alison in place of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
What did viewers think of Dermot O’Leary on This Morning with Alison Hammond?
The married couple have been holding the fort from Monday to Thursday while regulars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby enjoy a summer break.
That meant today’s episode was hosted by Alison, who usually serves as the show’s entertainment reporter, with Dermot on as a guest host.

Viewers at home were divided over the pair as a presenting duo.
Some thought they were the “perfect” combination with great “on-screen chemistry”, calling for them to be on every week.

Just ‘not working’
Others, however, weren’t quite as impressed. Some claimed having Dermot on with Alison simply “wasn’t working”.
“#ThisMorning Alison and Dermot together just isn’t working is it,” said one.
“Nah… didn’t work with Dermot and Rochelle either,” someone else agreed. “Worked with Alison and Rochelle… guess it’s a Dermot issue…”

One user replied: “First time I’ve seen them together and I’ve never seen him look so uncomfortable.”
