This Morning viewers were moved by a woman who tearfully opened up about having her dog put down.
Elizabeth called into the phone-in segment on Wednesday’s programme (August 19) and admitted she felt guilty for making the decision to put her dog to sleep.
The show’s agony aunt Emma Kenny gave advice to Elizabeth after losing her own dog, Molly, last month.

What did Elizabeth say on This Morning?
Elizabeth emotionally explained: “I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my 16-year-old Yorkshire Terrier to sleep two weeks ago.
“Even though she was 16, she had really good health. Basically it was kidney failure, and I had to make the decision to put her to sleep.
“She was my birthday present from my late father 16 years ago.
“I live completely on my own, I’ve not got children and she was my baby.
“I’m finding it so hard to cope. I’m feeling tremendous guilt. The vet said to me, ‘you gave her a really happy life.'”
She continued: “I just feel so guilty and I don’t know where to turn. I haven’t even had the strength to put her toys away.”

Meanwhile, Emma opened up about losing her own dog.
She said: “[You have to] acknowledge that the grief is as real as when a lot of people lose a close relationship.
“She was the prettiest dog ever. She was in my bed every night when Dad died and she was just the constant.
“I still think about her every moment of the day.”
Last month, Emma shared a photo of Molly to her Instagram and revealed she had died.
Emma wrote: “Hey lovelies, just to say I am giving my clinic a miss tonight as I lost my Molly-Boo chihuahua during her labour.
“Sadly the vets couldn’t save the puppies either.
