ITV viewers were left shocked earlier today when it seemed a sweary This Morning guest was turning the air blue.
Hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford had already chaired a health discussion with twin doctors Xand and Chris Van Tulleken earlier in the show before taking calls from those watching at home.
But an interaction with one person phoning in sounded like it began in very uncomfortable fashion after it sounded like Eamonn was told to “[bleep] off” by ‘Maria’ at the other end of the line.
The single mum caller was seeking advice about whether it is healthy for her children if she pursues short term intimate relationships.

And while her chat with those in the studio started in a friendly enough manner, viewers were soon tittering as Maria’s conversation took a profane turn.
“You sound very happy, Maria!” Eammon told the caller, having previously noted to another person ringing in how chipper they were.
Hesitantly, Maria replied: “Well, sort of.” But the words that came out of her mouth sounded more like she was telling Eamonn where to go in an unprovoked verbal attack.
And even though Eammon and Ruth didn’t acknowledge the bizarre gaffe, it seems as if one of the Van Tullekens may have heard what many of those at home did as he flashed a cheeky grin at the camera.

“I’m sure Maria has just told Eamonn to [bleep] off,” tweeted one viewer, including a clip of the moment in his message.
“Maria you said [bleep] off lol #ThisMorning,” confirmed another.
A third, who included several crying laughing emojis in their tweet, pondered whether they were hearing things.
“Did that just happen?” they asked.
“Mate this is daytime TV at it’s finest,” they continued before praising the presenters for not cracking up.
They added: “Ruth and Eamonn the true pros just brushed it aside as they were told to [bleep] off live on air just now.”
