A source told the Sun that it was all “very emotional” as Amy said her goodbyes to everyone.
They explained: “Bosses want viewers to see what was behind Amy’s decision to walk. She’s not had an easy journey over the last week and they think it’s important for people to see what the final straw was for Amy.
“It’s going to be a really emotional watch but they aren’t going to gloss over it because she’s been such a big part of the show this year.
“It’ll also be interesting for everyone to see the aftermath of her decision, in particular how Curtis will react to the news.”
ED! has reached out to ITV for comment.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Amy, 27, had decided to quit following her break-up with professional ballroom dancer Curtis Pritchard, 23, after he admitted flirting with another girl, Jourdan Raine, while Amy was away at sister villa Casa Amour.
He kissed the newcomer twice during challenges and opened up about wanting to recouple with her. But Jourdan was more interested in Danny, leaving Curtis with no option but to stick with Amy.
When she returned Curtis told her what had happened, and while she did express an interest in pushing past their problems and remaining in a couple, Curtis made it clear that he wanted to move on with someone else.
Since then, he’s been flirting with Maura.
On Monday’s episode (July 8), the Irish beauty, 28, pulled Amy to one side to inform her that she had not only developed feelings for Curtis, but had already told him all about it.

Maura said, of her decision not to approach Amy first: “When I came in here, I felt that out of all the girls here, you were the one that wouldn’t let me in.”
Amy told her: “A lot of stuff makes sense to me now. You were one of the most vocal that he didn’t deserve a second chance.”
Since Amy’s break-up with Curtis, the star’s dad has admitted finding the show too painful to watch.
A source quoted by the Sun said the funeral director refuses to tune in now because its “very tough” seeing his daughter so upset.
