EastEnders has given the first look at Kat Moon’s return to Walford – as she makes a very unexpected appearance at her own wake.
The former market trader – played by actress Jessie Wallace in the BBC soap – is on her way back to Albert Square alone for the first time in two years.
However, there is a slight hitch in her plan to make her comeback – she’s dead.
Or that’s at least what Big Mo wants everyone to think.

In a special spoiler trailer released by the show, the aftermath of the tragic news of Kat’s passing has been revealed.
“Kat’s dead,” sobs Big Mo.
It’s then revealed that, surprise, surprise, the Slaters can’t afford a funeral for Kat and they need help with money.
The Square soon jumps into action, putting on a fundraiser and everyone showing how much Kat was loved.

“What are you going to give me for a coffin?” asks Big Mo in the trailer, hinting that all is not what it seems.
And then Kat herself is seen putting on her lipstick in the back of a cab, proving she’s alive and ready to attend her own wake.
