Victoria viewers in the UK have lashed out at the show’s American fans for “spoiling” series three after it was broadcast in the US months ago.
The ITV period drama, which returned to UK screens last night (March 24th) was first aired in the US on PBS Masterpiece back in January.

British fans on Twitter were furious that Americans were releasing potential spoilers by tweeting about the new series.
One fan demanded, “Can the Americans [bleep] off and not spoil this series for us?” and said the US “should have never got it first”.
Another agreed, replying: “They wouldn’t like it if we watched their shows first. Not right.”
Someone else who was fuming asked American fans to “STFT and not spoil it for every one else”.
Others were simply annoyed at having to wait months to enjoy it, particularly as it’s a British show about the British monarchy.
One wrote: “Erm @ITV would you care to explain why you chose to let America view the new series of #Victoria before us? Programme about a British monarch but don’t allow Brits to see it first.”
Another said: “Just found out that #Victoria series 3 is being aired in the US before we see it in the UK… What the actual [bleep]?! Last I checked Victoria was a British show, so why does America get to see it first? Sort it out @ITV!”
A third tweeted: “Anybody else disgusted that a British drama is going to be aired in America before it’s aired over here? I mean, are you trying to upset us all in Victoria’s home country?”
Someone else commented: “I’m so [bleep]ed off that America get @VictoriaSeries before us Brits do! Not even aired in the UK, yet it’s airing in America next week.”
Series three of Victoria kicked off by taking us back to 1848. At the start of the opening episode, the Queen, played by former Emmerdale actress Jenna Coleman, was heavily pregnant with her sixth child.
What’s more, it became clear that Europe was facing testing times, with London in the grip of a potential revolution.

By the end of the episode, Chartists outside the palace protested the arrival of France’s exiled king. Those gathered began to grow violent and one chucked a brick through a palace window.
The shock of it sent Victoria into labour, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
– Victoria is on ITV every Sunday at 9pm
