Fans of The One Show weren’t happy with Paddy McGuinness’ antics on the programme.
The Bolton-born comedian, 45, was on last night (June 4) alongside his fellow Top Gear presenters Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff.

The jokes were out from the get-go, as the trio arrived outside the studio in a flash car – only for Paddy to accidentally get stuck in the back when his door wouldn’t open.
When they finally made it into the studio, Chris and Freddie sat down on the couch opposite hosts Matt Baker and Emma Willis, who was standing in for presenter Alex Jones while she enjoys times off with her newborn baby.
A flustered Paddy seated himself next to them and almost fell off the sofa as his part didn’t have a back rest, causing the studio to erupt into fits of laughter.
Chris then told Paddy: “Just sit down. Calm down.”
Viewers took to Twitter as the chaotic scenes unfolded.
One said: “I see Paddy McGuinness is on #TheOneShow *Hurls a succession of ever larger objects at the television until it breaks.*”
Another tweeted: “Paddy McGuinness on The One Show not letting his fellow Top Gear presenters get a word because he a self-serving, unfunny [bleep].”
Someone else wrote: “Matt Baker looking so uncomfortable with Paddy McGuinness on tonight’s #TheOneShow.”
A fourth said: “Top Gear was a shambles… now with Flintoff and Paddy it’s plunged to new depths… absolute feckless idiots … #TheOneShow.”
“I can honestly say, I have never once laughed at anything Paddy McGuinness says or does? He irritates the hell out of me. Am I on my own? #TheOneShow,” said a fifth.
But not everyone was turned off, as others seemed to enjoy watching Paddy and his fellow Top Gear presenters.
One fan wrote, “Paddy McGuinness killing it on The One Show – very very funny” while another hailed him as one of the “funniest comedians ever”.

Later in the interview, Paddy revealed that his wife Christine was the one who convinced him to take the new presenting job.
He said on the programme: “When I was first told I got the job, genuinely I’ve got young children at home, and I was sat with my wife and I was worried about the travelling.
“She said, ‘Look, you’re going to go all around the world and you’re going to see places you’ve never seen before. And you’re going to have all these memories’.”
