During the production of last year’s I’m A Celebrity, the Welsh castle became a popular tourist attraction for fans to visit and take pictures.
However, Gwrych Castle is right next to a dangerous main road – the A547 Abergele Road.
Unfortunately, this meant that the castle has seen a handful of tragic deaths over the past couple of years.
Since then, the programme’s makers have urged fans to stay safe and remember that the A547 is a busy road.
But, sadly, not everyone has taken heed of the advice.
Woman killed trying to take a picture of the castle
Last year, a mother of two was killed by a car after “attempting to see the lights” near the Welsh castle.
The woman reportedly pulled over in the lay-by and got out to take a picture of the castle.
Her family said that “she was hoping to take a picture and send it to a friend”.
Sadly, the mother suffered catastrophic injuries and eventually died after colliding with a blue Volvo on Abergele Road.
Paying tribute to the 58 year old, her family said: “Sharn was so selfless and had such a joyous, charitable attitude to life.
“She was in the process of organising deliveries of hampers to the local food bank through the Women’s Institute. We’ll miss her kindness forever.”
They also commented: “We urge people to take so much care and remember it’s a busy A class road.”
Cyclist found dead in the woods
A month after Sharn Hughes’ tragic death, police discovered a body of a man in the woods.
The unnamed man appeared to be riding a mountain bike in the woods surrounding the castle.

After the police investigated the scene, they made a statement saying: “The body of a man, who we understand had been on a mountain bike in woods off the Abergele Road, was discovered.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances and a coroner has been informed.”
I’m A Celebrity tragic hit and run death
Last month a man died just outside Gwrych Castle after a hit and run.
According to reports, a black BMW ploughed into the man on the A548.
Police said that car didn’t stop but they found a car near the crash site and arrested three suspects.
Paramedics rushed the man to Glan Clwyd Hospital where he later died of his injuries.
