For anyone who doesn’t remember the show or never got a chance to watch it, Waterloo Road was a school-based drama which ran from 2006 till 2015.
The series dealt with a number of different topics including mental illness, teen pregnancy, cancer, LGBTQ+, weapon violence, gangs and grooming.
During its run the cast frequently changed, however there are a number of actors who you will recognise if you’re a soap fan.
Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey played pupil-turned-receptionist Janeece Bryant from series one to four, then returned for series six to eight.
Chelsee’s Hollyoak’s co-star Nadine Mulkerrin, who plays her on-screen cousin Cleo, played Janeece’s friend, teen mum Billie Taylor in an episode in series six.
Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas played Donte Charles from series one to to four.
Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien and Our Girl’s Linzey Cocker appeared as sisters Bex and Jess Fisher, daughters of head teacher Karen.
EastEnders’ Ben Mitchell actor Max Bowden starred in series 10 as Justin Fitzgerald, troubled son of headteacher Vaughn.
Other actors who appeared through the series included Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson as Kyle Stack, Lucien Laviscount as Jonah Kirby, Casualty‘s Rebecca Ryan as Vicki MacDonald and The Cry and Victoria star Jenna Coleman as Lindsay James.
