Dancing On Ice star Wes Nelson has defended his girlfriend Megan Barton-Hanson after professional skater Matt Evers called her “sour”.
Earlier this week, Matt accused Megan – who recently slammed Wes’ skating partner Vanessa Bauer – of looking “sour” in the audience on Sunday night and told her to be more “supportive” of her boyfriend.
Now, Wes has hit back and said Matt’s comments were “uncalled for”.

During an appearance on Heart Radio on Friday, Wes said: “He likes me but he doesn’t like Meg though does he? I think that was uncalled for. To judge her from one screen shot from a two hour show – she was laughing and joking the whole time.
“Everyone assumes she’s just so bitter from one moment. We were laughing and joking the whole time. There was no tension whatsoever.”
In Matt’s chat on the radio show on Monday, he said: “Her and I aren’t necessarily best of friends through things that she has said about our show previously.

“And again like I said earlier on the show here, I will defend Dancing on Ice. It is not unmanly to wear sequins and lycra, OK? And when I pick girls up on my head – previously on the series not with [current partner Gemma Collins] – however yeah…”
Adding that he wants Megan to “enjoy life”, he continued: “She did look a little bit sour last night. Be supportive of your boyfriend. You know, he’s working his little tail off right now and he was fantastic.”

Meanwhile, Megan has been caught up in other Dancing On Ice drama after hitting out at Wes’ skating partner Vanessa on social media.
The Love Island star accused Vanessa of timing her break-up with Louis Nathaniel for publicity and not looking her “in the eye” when they met.
And, during an appearance on Loose Women on Thursday, Megan said she felt “really hurt” that Vanessa didn’t “make the effort” to introduce herself to her.
She said: “I feel like it’s natural [to feel jealous]. To have Wes three hours a night when he’s exhausted after his training, I think it’s normal. Not insecurity.
“I’m jealous. I want to be parading around dancing with him in sexy Lycra, not get the tired Wes.”

She also said she’s reached out to Vanessa to clear the air, however, didn’t confirm if she had received a reply.
Panelist Andrea McLean then read out a statement from Vanessa’s spokesperson which said: “Contrary to suggestions, Vanessa did not ‘announce’ her split. She’s never discussed her private life and as always wants to stay focused on her professional commitments.”
