With X Factor: Celebrity starting this weekend (Saturday October 12), fans are already gearing themselves up for a star-studded singing extravaganza.
But viewers hoping for the tried-and-tested and familiar stages might be disappointed.
Judge Louis Walsh has said that two established stages of the show have been ditched in an effort to shake things up.
Speaking to The Sun, Louis, 67, said that both the Six Chair Challenge and Bootcamp have been dropped.
“What we’re doing this year I think is a brilliant idea,” he said.
“I think everyone’s going to love watching these celebrities because it’s not what people expect.
“Some of them are really good. The show feels more exciting. There’s no Bootcamp, no Six-Chair Challenge, it feels slick this year.”
He also revealed that the audition round is the only stage to have made it through to this new series.
Proclaiming that X Factor: Celebrity will be “the best show on TV for a long time” Louis also said that the show has just had a “little rebranding”.
The new show will see Louis reunited with Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger on the judging panel.
When it comes to contestants, journalist Martin Bashir, talk Show host Ricki Lake, The Chase’s Jenny Ryan and Coronation Street’s Victoria Ekanoye make up the ‘Overs’ category.
In the ‘Unders’ category, ex-TOWIE star Megan McKenna, model and actress Hayley Hasselhoff, EastEnders’ Jonny Labey, film star Olivia Olson and Glee actor Kevin McHale make up the numbers.
