Former X Factor star Scarlett Lee got her fans all excited by suggesting that she’d got married – only to backtrack hours later.
The Surrey-born singer, 21, shared a picture to her Instagram Stories in which she posed alongside her partner of four years, Nathan Shaw, in a sparkly pink Agata Nicole dress.
And when one of her followers asked her if she’d just got married in the dress, she said yes.
Trouble is, she’d misunderstood the question and had to correct her error later on!
Scarlett, who finished third on last year’s series of the ITV show, was taking part in an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session with her fans, when one asked her if she’d tied the knot in the dress she posted a picture of.
She replied: “I did.”
But she’d clearly got the wrong end of the stick, because she’d actually been attending her NEPHEW’S big day.
And she quickly returned to Instagram to retract her announcement.

Giving a big thumbs-up to the camera, she posted another pic with the words: “Who’s the dumb person who said I did instead of I did get it made? Meeee.”
The message was accompanied by several ‘crying with laughter’ emojis.
In a video, she added: “I thought somebody asked me if I got the dress made and I put ‘yes’ when they actually [asked if I got married].
“I put my hands up, just for anybody who’s wondering. Don’t listen to all the rumours anyway it’s not true.”
Scarlett originally appeared on The X Factor in 2017, as a 19-year-old.
On that occasion, she made it as far as the Six Chair Challenge but failed to proceed any further.

But she returned a year later and, mentored by Simon Cowell, reached the final, finishing a creditable third behind eventual winner Dalton Harris.
Scarlett and Nathan may not have tied the knot this week, but their nuptials are certainly imminent.
Back in January, the singer shared a picture on social media of Nathan popping the question next to where her grandparents are buried.
She wrote: “OMG he knows how much I wished my granny and grandad was with me on my journey, but this had made me feel the luckiest girl in the world! We are engaged!”
Scarlett has also spoken about her desire to have 14 bridesmaids lead her down the aisle on the big day, along with 350 wedding guests.
